We undertook five phases of works at the Hastings Adventure Golf site over a ten year period.
The first phase involved remodelling the food court yard area and adding shelters, benches and vending kiosks. In later phases we extended the ticket office and shop. We also created a workshop and service yard area.
The most recent phase as yet unrealised is a 1900 sq m large span structure to house an indoor adventure golf course and café. It is highly visible particularly from above from Hastings Castle so the building takes a sculptural amorphous form generated in response to the golf courses it sits within. The form is a jaunty addition to the beachfront location and the roof designed with the same care as the elevations to enhance the key view from above. The walls of the building are formed in a sinuous wave of clear u-channel glazing over gabions filled with salvaged dredged pebbles that match the beach. The green roof is planted with beach tolerant species.
